Thanks to the generosity of members, volunteers, taxpayers and supporters and to an extensive press coverage, in 2010 the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) and the Italian Foundation for Cancer Research (FIRC) were able to grant a total amount of 89.212.701 Euro.
Thanks to the choices expressed by Italian citizens on the 5 per thousand of their tax returns, AIRC was able to fund all selected projects and to start a new Clinical Molecular Oncology Programme; FIRC used 979.000 EURO to buy new scientific equipment for the FIRC Institute for Molecular Oncology.
